About Athletes for the Arctic: The Alaska Coalition is proud to announce our newest program: Athletes for the Arctic. The idea for this program grew out of some of our recent trips to
professional outdoor sporting events where we were continually impressed by the level of interest in Alaska conservation issues. If you are a professional athlete please consider signing up for the program. As a member of Athletes for the Arctic you will have the opportunity to use your status and influence to help protect some of Alaska’s last wild places. There are a number of ways that you can help protect Alaska as a member of Athletes for the Arctic: continually impressed by the level of interest in Alaska conservation issues.
- Wear an Athletes for the Arctic sticker on you helmet, running number, etc. during competitions.
- Mention the importance of protecting Alaskan wildlands during interviews with the press, on videos, and when you talk with fans.
- Work with the Alaska Coalition grassroots staff to help bring attention to Alaska conservation issues at events, press conferences, and fundraisers.

Thank you for your interest in the Alaska Coalition and our athletes program - if you are a professional athlete and want to support the Alaska Coalition please sign up HERE. Or you can email Anna Peterson, Alaska Coalition Coordinator at anna@alaskawild.org to join the campaign to protect some of the most beautiful and wild places left on our continent.
