fffr We would like to join over 600 other local, regional and national organizations that are members of the Alaska Coalition.  We endorse the goal of protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from oil drilling and support efforts to add its 1.5 million-acre coastal plain to our nation’s wilderness preservation system. We also endorse  the Alaska Coalition’s efforts to protect as Wilderness the Tongass and Chugach National Forests through the Alaska Rainforest Conservation Act.  We understand our organization will not incur any financial obligation by joining, nor are we required to participate in any other activities.  We are willing to have our name listed as a member of the Alaska Coalition on publications and other materials related to the protection of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Tongass and Chugach National Forest and other public lands in Alaska.

Please let us know if you want additional information about the Alaska Coalition or current legislative proposals to designate the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge coastal plain as wilderness:

Send us a free copy of the video “Wilderness in Peril” which vividly highlights the battle to save the Arctic Refuge from oil drilling. And please alert us when the new video “The Alaska Rainforest - America’s Wilderness” is available in the Summer 2002.
Send newsletter articles, sample letters to the editor, and other materials we can use to educate our members about the fight to save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the Tongass and Chugach National Forests.
Send us action alerts via e-mail about current legislative or administrative actions related to the protection of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the Tongass and Chugach National Forests.
Send us more information about how we can send one of our organization’s members or staff to an Alaska Public Lands Advocacy and Leadership Training in Washington, D.C.
